Cuba #10 di Nicolas Pascarel, autore Kromìa, è un’esplosione di vitalità e libertà formale, nella luminosità cromatica di puri raggi solari liquefatti e nell’aerea nebulizzazione parcellizzata d’acqua. Levità emergente dall’abbraccio solido della cornice lineare degli orizzonti foncés, che garantendole sicurezza formale la esaltano e rendono ancor più viva. Rivisitazione contemporanea del più tradizionale topos paesaggistico marino.
Similmente, in House of the Rising Sun il poderoso crescendo rock dei vocals di Eric Burdon e dell’organo Vox Continental, caratteristico della band britannica degli anni Sessanta The Animals, travolge trascinante un incalzante impeto e libertà su una strutturata base melodica. E, con suggestiva assonanza con il cromatismo di Pascarel, il video ufficiale dell’epoca inietta solari tinte cedrate in un fondo solidamente grigio. Reinterpretando un classico folk con l’irruenza inconfondibile della nuova British Invasion.
Irrestitibile, energetico, il richiamo e il riscatto della vita. Perché – in Pascarel come in The Animals – quando c’è struttura e leggerezza, spazio ma presenza, allora sì che può sorgere una casa del Sole nascente.

But this lightness comes from the strong embrace of the dark horizon frame, that enhances and enlivens it. Contemporary interpretation of a traditional landscape topic.
Similarly, in House of the Rising Sun the imposing rock crescendo of Eric Burdon vocals and Vox Continental organ, typical features of the Sixties British band The Animals, drags impetus and freedom on a well structured melody.
