È questa la volta, nell’ambito di Synth, dell’ammaliante tastiera di Brad Mehldau al Teatro Bellini!

“Dopo l’indimenticabile esperienza del concerto in piano solo, Brad Mehldau torna al Teatro Bellini con la formazione in trio.
Mehldau è una delle stelle più luminose del firmamento pianistico contemporaneo, nonché uno dei più profondi conoscitori delle dinamiche del piano trio, ambito espressivo che coltiva sin dai primi anni ‘90.
Come sempre al suo fianco ci sarà il contrabbassista Larry Grenadier, mentre alla batteria Jeff Ballard, che è con lui dal 2005 dopo aver, tra l’altro, suonato per anni con Chick Corea.
Mehldau ha scandagliato a fondo, e continua a farlo proficuamente, una formula consolidata ma ancora capace, come nel suo caso, di regalare appassionanti novità: dai cinque volumi di The Art of The Trio a Brad Mehldau Trio Live, passando per Places, Anything Goes e Day Is Done (primo album con Jeff Ballard alla batteria), fino al recentissimo Ode, l’indagine musicale di Brad Mehldau e dei suoi partners si è sempre rivelata ricca di sorprese, anche grazie alla contaminazione di materiale proveniente da oltre i confini del jazz come Nick Drake, Radiohead e Beatles”.

Kromìa has always been convinced of the importance of many creative stimuli for creativity, also for photographic art: that’s why we are proud partner of Synth, the festival directed by Cesare Settimo that brings the best of nowadays music research in Naples.
Now, as part of the program of Synth, it’s the time of Brad Mehldau at Teatro Bellini!
This time, the artist presents a trio project with Larry Grenadier at double bass and Jeff Ballard at drums.
Starting from The Art of The Trio and arriving to Brad Mehldau Trio Live, passing through Places, Anything Goes and Day Is Done or the recent Ode, Brad Mehldau and his partners are always surprising, thanking to many unexpected contaminations with musicians such as Nick Drake, Radiohead and Beatles.
